Accidentally Loving You

I choose teaching accidentally. I really don’t have idea of what course I took because while I’m choosing my course I only want to see the word “ Mathematics” so I choose BSED Mathematics which I have no idea of what course it is. The important word for me that time in choosing that course is the word mathematics because I love Math. Later on I just take the course and have no any idea of what course I choose, when time goes which I really already know that the course I am taking was teaching (wala koy kalibutan teaching diay, dili baya ko ganahan magtudlo) so I am thinking to transfer to the College of Agriculture but suddenly it’s too hard to shift a course. I just continue the path I take (3rd year naman gud ko ka huna2x ug transfer, saying pud).

I really hate teaching and I don’t like teaching (Kapoy magtudlo kay dungol ang mga bata basi masumbagan or mabinat nko ilang dunggan, mao na gina isip nako). I always think that teaching is only for the people who have patience and we all know that you really need that kind of attitude when you want to teach (Dali lang ko masuko, dili jud guro ko bagay ani).

In my third year, there is one subject really help me to start loving to teach, the FS Field Study) 1 subject. First, I have no idea what we will do or requirements to pass in this subject, so I ask my friend in the fourth year level and as expected he answered me and he said “ I deploy ra man mo ana sa school, mag observe2x magpapirma ug pwede gane mo muuli daun ayaw lang ug padakop haha pero naa moy answeran ana inig human ninyog observe pero ayaw kabalaka naa koy soft copy diri ilisi lang ug pangalan ug I edit pud gamay” not exactly that the words he used but it almost like that and the idea, and I answered “Salamat kayo part”. When our professor deployed us in our respective school I feel excited and nervous (first day gud, syempre kulba). In the first day as expected I go to my cooperating teacher and observe her classes. That feeling student greet you like “Good morning sir” (maka high moral), I feel respected by the students and that was I want when I teach someday.

Days and months later I realize and I feel that I love teaching, not because of the wage or something but because I WANT TO TEACH. I want to socialize with the student and teachers, encounter them, know their attitudes, and I want to help my students for their future. If someday, in God’s will when times come that I would really be a License teacher, I want to teach my students to be HAPPY not to earn money because you can’t buy happiness but money is just there and everywhere. I hope someday, when I teach, I don’t want my student afraid to me (dli kay dako ko mahadlok na sila), You know what I want?, I want my students ADMIRE and RESPECT me.
